Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification required.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role, preferably in the consumer products industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience, including leading a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
Responsibilities
  • Own the month-end close process, including reviewing work papers performed by accounting staff, analyzing margin changes and communicating results to finance partners.
  • Oversee day to day accounting functions including revenue, cost of sales and inventory.
  • Provide accounting guidance to cross functional partners on upcoming operational initiatives.
  • Project manage the year-end audit and quarterly reviews for the business unit with our external auditor.
  • Implement controls designed to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Build process enhancements within the ERP system.
  • Partner with a shared services team on best practices around AR and AP processes, tracking KPIs.
  • Provide support during the budget and forecasting process, as well as work on ad-hoc projects in line with business needs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a creative and productive work environment while creating development opportunities for the team and training to enhance skills and foster growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership, department heads, and external stakeholders to provide financial insights, guidance, and support decision making.
