Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of retail management experience is required.

Responsibilities
  • Create and foster a database of Club Monaco customers.
  • Implement a Personal Shopper Program.
  • Provide customer service at all times.
  • Implement a monthly outreach program to update the client base as new products reach the store.
  • Develop ideas for in-store events.
  • Partner with the store management team and district manager to execute store events.
  • Handle customer inquiries about specific products, quality issues, return policies, and related matters.
  • Implement a system to track monthly sales, inquiry volumes, inquiry types, and related metrics.
  • Lead product-knowledge sessions for store staff.
  • Communicate product and customer feedback to managers.
  • Open and close the store on designated shifts.
  • Monitor and execute daily payroll goals.
  • Assume Store Manager responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence.
  • Organize schedules for Managers-in-Training and Stylists.
  • Achieve or exceed financial plans through effective planning and execution.
  • Analyze and manage sales and wage budgets to determine and launch actions to meet or exceed goals.
  • Use available tools and support within the business framework to develop approaches that drive business results.
  • Monitor sales and financial results, take appropriate store-level action, and communicate needs to the supervisor.
  • Ensure store actions optimize sales, merchandise investment, and wage investment while minimizing stock shortage.
  • Control store expenses.
  • Lead the store's business planning process.
  • Recruit high-level candidates as needed and maintain and develop a store team of managers and service associates.
  • Encourage empowerment, reinforce ownership, and lead a positive work environment.
  • Ensure management and service associates understand and meet job expectations.
  • Select, train, and motivate management and associates to maintain a fully functional team.
  • Schedule and facilitate training sessions to develop individual and team skills and abilities.
  • Model and coach selling service and other skills.
  • Provide store management and service associates with continuous performance feedback and training.
  • Manage inventory to support company growth and achieve appropriate gross-margin return on investment.
  • Maximize inventory to achieve planned sales by selling existing stock and communicating inventory needs.
  • Assess and react to competitive opportunities.
  • Ensure operational integrity in store routines and practices.
  • Train managers and service associates in inventory management and supervise physical inventory counts.
  • Train, coach, and audit store management and associates on timelines and standards for markdowns, promotional setup, merchandising direction, damage processing, consolidations, and overall store standards.
  • Train and support management and service associates in planning and supervising store flips and regular merchandising needs.
  • Ensure the store follows merchandising and flip calendars.
  • Ensure the store meets visual-merchandising and maintenance standards.
  • Monitor the application of policies and procedures.
  • Model accurate and appropriate knowledge and use of policies and procedures.
  • Partner with the Loss Prevention representative on audit standards, results, training, and required actions while maintaining service levels.
  • Review and audit payroll procedures to ensure accurate store-level reporting and corrections.
  • Complete all store-opening and store-closing procedures for designated shifts, or arrange replacement staff and notify the District or Regional Manager.
