Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • At least one year of relevant experience is required.
  • The ability to complete assignments accurately and with attention to detail is required.
  • The ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines is required.
  • The ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion is required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform chart review and pre-screening activities to determine study participant eligibility and coordinate simple clinical research protocols.
  • Maintain enrollment procedures according to the protocol.
  • Coordinate routine clinical study activities, including data collection and maintenance, study timeline planning, appointment and study visit scheduling, meeting scheduling, and project evaluation.
  • Perform moderate to complex research tests and experiments and adapt procedures for quality improvement under supervision.
  • Follow technical instructions for operating clinical research equipment and problem-solve operational failures.
  • Assist in observing and informing the principal investigator or supervisor of adverse events, including those reported by study participants.
  • Address adverse events according to protocol while advocating for study participants and quality standards throughout the study.
  • Identify, report, and help problem-solve protocol deviations and unanticipated occurrences.
  • Follow the fundamental requirements of all applicable international, national, and local regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain the contents and organization of study-specific clinical research regulatory binders.
  • Maintain required skills and mandatory training in safety, equality, responsible conduct of research, continuing education, and research competencies.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desired.
  • Phlebotomy certification is highly desired, or completion of a formal phlebotomy training program within 30 days of hire.
