Requirements
  • Bachelor’s / master’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years professional experience with expertise in manufacturing engineering or production planning (General Assembly), including ability to achieve stable production processes.
  • Deep knowledge of vehicle engineering processes
  • Skillful at organizational navigation and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; ability to develop effective partnerships and relationships.
  • Creative and strategic problem solver who exercises sound judgment.
Responsibilities
  • Improve product design and enable stable and ergonomic processes for high volume manufacturing.
  • Identify, decide, and implement technical requirements from manufacturing to influence product design.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, production control, and engineering to provide product design and concepts for General Assembly.
  • Use CAD-Data-Analysis, simulations, and virtual tests to identify risks for high volume manufacturing.
  • Implement ideas to improve product design to ensure stable processes and minimal rework in series production.
  • Ensure all products are designed to meet assembly requirements and feasible for high volume manufacturing.
  • Take responsibility for communication between production planning assembly and engineering department as a single point of contact for vehicle design topics.
  • Coordinate team activities to achieve project goals and provide instruction and guidance on required techniques and regulations.
