About the job
- Higher education in economics or law; if the degree is in another specialty, at least four years of experience in related fields is required.
- At least four years of overall relevant work experience and at least three years in the audit function.
- Knowledge of relevant sectors and business processes to carry out audit procedures.
- Knowledge of internal procedures, company-offered products, and changes made to those procedures or products.
- Knowledge of normative and legal documents issued by the government executive body regulating the company’s activities.
- Ability to use a computer and relevant software, including MS Windows products and specialized audit software.
- Ability to participate in business trips.
- Professional working proficiency in Azerbaijani and English.
- Conduct audits, follow-up audits, and special audit projects based on the approved Annual Audit Plan and Audit Committee assignments.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management, control, and corporate governance processes within audit projects.
- Supervise the work of employees led within an audit project.
- Participate in preparing reports on audit project results.
- Participate in preparing the work program for audit projects.
- Ensure audit procedures are carried out to identify deficiencies during audit projects.
- Prepare audit project reports accurately, with quality, and effectively.
- Monitor implementation of action plans prepared by company management to address identified shortcomings and deficiencies.
- At the request of the Internal Audit Department director, participate in preparing review reports related to the department’s activities.
- Participate in preparing audit work and time allocation reports (retain management).
- Participate in evaluating the work of employees led within an audit project.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by the project manager or Internal Audit Department director within the scope of authority.
- Possession of, or progress toward, a professional certification in CIA, FRM, CFA, ACCA, or CPA.
