Requirements
  • At least four years of related experience managing design and construction projects, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee capital design and construction projects of limited scope from concept and design through construction and D.S.A. close-out while meeting project scope, schedule, budget, and objectives.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate designated project activities to accomplish project goals within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.
  • Establish points of contact for engineering with general contractors, architects, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Submit technical drawings and samples for client and architect approvals.
  • Attend site meetings with owners and general contractors when requested.
  • Coordinate the project work plan and schedule with project managers.
  • Coordinate and track monthly progress payments, project change orders, and project estimating.
  • Interface with Accounting regarding material requisitions and contracting.
  • Review and coordinate contractor and IOR daily reports, site-visit issue logs, progress photos, and construction meeting minutes.
  • Evaluate requests for information and maintain related logs.
  • Coordinate the delivery and installation of owner-furnished equipment.
  • Track contractor and supplier project schedules and progress.
  • Update contractor changes to plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Review project proposals or plans to determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Establish work plans and staffing for each project phase and arrange recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Confer with project staff to outline work plans and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Direct and coordinate project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
  • Prepare project reports for management, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical advice to project personnel and resolve problems.
  • Coordinate project activities with regulatory agencies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with D.S.A.
  • Experience working with school districts, including K-14 institutions and community colleges.
