Food and Beverage Team Leader
About the job
- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, bar, or hotel food and beverage environment is essential.
- Leadership experience or the confidence and capability to step into a junior supervisory role is required.
- Experience in bar service and an interest in food and beverage are required.
- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate is required, or willingness to obtain one.
- Valid Australian working rights are essential.
- Flexibility to work breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts, including weekends and public holidays, is required.
- Lead and motivate the team during busy service periods.
- Supervise restaurant, bar, and in-room dining operations to ensure smooth day-to-day service.
- Deliver guest experiences and resolve guest enquiries.
- Train and support team members to meet Novotel service standards.
- Prepare and serve espresso coffee, cocktails, and other beverages.
- Provide bar service and handle cash and point-of-sale transactions.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless food and beverage delivery.
- Maintain standards of presentation, cleanliness, and food safety.
- Monitor rosters and staff schedules to meet operational requirements.
- Strong barista skills and experience preparing espresso coffee are advantageous.
