The enhancements mark the latest development in a 30-year collaboration between the two organisations. Masters Vault Search, powered by IBM's Granite small language models and watsonx Orchestrate, enables fans to explore over 50 years of final round broadcasts through conversational prompts. The system uses optical character recognition, speech-to-text transcription and scene detection to locate specific moments within full-length replays. The enhanced Hole Insights feature now provides real-time, shot-by-shot analysis during the Tournament, calculating historical scoring probabilities based on exact ball position and contextual performance data. The feature was developed with input from legendary caddie Jim 'Bones' Mackay.
