Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of six months experience in Human Services or related field required.
  • In programs where the incumbent is required to serve as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP), one year of experience is required.
Responsibilities
  • The Behavior Support Specialist, with LBA oversight, creates and coordinates the development and implementation of behavior analytic services within the Individual Service Plan and Behavior Intervention Plan.
  • Coordinates the development, implementation and training of behavior plans; this includes functional behavior assessment/analysis, preference assessments and treatment evaluations.
  • Develops and monitors data collection systems, engages in ongoing data review and analysis to ensure effective programming.
  • Identifies training needs and develops and conducts those trainings to ensure the ongoing knowledge and ability to effectively implement behavior plans.
  • Participates in clinical case review meetings (rounds) to ensure proper data review and discussion of the needs of persons’ served.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.
  • Free BACB supervised experience for graduate students in ABA.
  • Free, on site master’s in ABA through Rider University
  • Tuition reimbursement and (in acute behavioral programs only) tuition repayment for existing student loans
