Requirements

Previous experience servicing battery systems and battery chargers.
Experience handling and replacing VLA and VRLA batteries.
Experience performing battery capacity testing.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and battery-charging equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Willingness and ability to travel offshore.
Current and valid driver's license.
Ability to successfully pass a drug screen.

Use cell corders, hydrometers, voltmeters, and ammeters.
Work safely with electrical systems ranging from 12 to 480 VDC.
Travel offshore by boat or helicopter as required.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Complete accurate and timely job reports.

Desired Qualifications

Familiarity with NEC standards and electrical codes.

Overview

The Battery Field Service Technician will inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and replace industrial battery systems and battery-charging equipment. This position requires offshore travel by boat or helicopter and the ability to work independently.
