Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, transportation, and customer service.
  • One to three years of relevant professional experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and make sound decisions amid frequently changing factors.
  • Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
  • Regular attendance and availability to work on-site three days per week in the St. Louis office.
  • Ability to meet pre-employment screening requirements, including a drug screen.
Responsibilities
  • Schedule loads with transportation vendors and reschedule them as needed.
  • Issue dispatch documentation to carriers.
  • Track and trace shipments and communicate shipment information to internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate favorable rates and services for truck, rail, barge, and ocean shipments.
  • Record shipment details accurately in company systems of record.
  • Dispatch shipments to carriers according to customer requirements.
  • Assist in resolving freight invoice discrepancies.
  • Solicit new asset carriers and freight brokers to reduce costs and improve service.
  • Coordinate warehouse releases by allocating inventory, issuing release instructions, and ensuring material availability for timely customer shipment.
  • Perform month-end inventory reconciliations against third-party warehouse reports, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with transportation, warehouse, and storage providers.
  • Update order-status records with purchase, sale, and inventory allocations and identify long and short commodity positions by location and delivery month.
  • Complete daily trading-system shipment settlements, understand financial and physical risk management, and edit contracts as needed.
  • Provide timely communication to internal and external customers.
  • Process shipment details accurately in the trading system.
  • Create dispatch sheets, packing lists, delivery orders, and U.S. Customs-related documents for international cargo.
  • Provide backup support for Supply Chain Coordinator duties, including inventory allocation, warehouse coordination, contract administration, and order-status management.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
