About the Job

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Experience owning or driving roadmap strategy and definition is required.
  • Experience with product feature delivery and trade-offs is required.
  • Experience in technical product management is required.
  • At least 10 years of technical product or program management experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the growth strategy, roadmap, and goals for Outbound's customer attention marketplace, including click-through rate, conversion, incremental OPS per message, and engagement across email, push, SMS, and messaging channels.
  • Build and run a high-velocity experimentation program by setting the hypothesis backlog, prioritizing by expected impact, and making A/B and multi-armed testing fast, trustworthy, and self-service for every sending team.
  • Own the technical products that drive engagement: personalization and recommendations inside messages, send-time and channel selection, content and creative optimization, and interactive and conversational experiences that let customers act without leaving the message.
  • Partner with science and engineering to bring machine learning and artificial intelligence into decisions about who receives what, when, and on which channel, including ranking, propensity and uplift models, bandits, and generative content; measure incrementality against holdouts.
  • Define the growth funnel and its instrumentation end to end, from delivery through opening, clicking, conversion, and retention. Ensure data is reconcilable, real-time where it matters, and attributable to the module, content, and decision that drove it.
  • Grow the addressable audience through opt-in and permission growth for new channels, reactivation of lapsed customers, and deliverability and reach improvements.
  • Turn winning experiments into platform capabilities by writing PR/FAQs and requirements, making build-versus-buy and architecture trade-offs with engineering leaders, and driving adoption across partner teams.
  • Set growth tenets and guardrails, including opt-out, complaint, and frequency limits, to protect customer trust while growing.
  • Influence senior leaders across Retail, Prime, and partner businesses with data and written narratives, and report growth results and learnings in Outbound business reviews.
  • Raise the bar for growth and experimentation practice across Outbound, and mentor product managers.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with engineers on product enhancements is preferred.
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement is preferred.
  • Use of generative AI tools to improve workflow efficiency, with willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices, is preferred.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences is preferred.

Amazon

Sells products online and rents cloud computing

Amazon runs the largest online store in the United States and rents cloud computing to businesses and governments through Amazon Web Services. AWS pioneered renting computing power over the internet, and Amazon built its own delivery network to get orders to customers quickly. Shoppers buy from Amazon and from independent sellers on its store, and Prime members pay a subscription for fast free shipping, streaming video and music, and other perks. AWS rents out computing power, storage, databases, and AI tools so companies can run software without owning servers, and Amazon also makes Kindle e-readers and Echo speakers with the Alexa assistant. Jeff Bezos founded Amazon in 1994, and it is based in Seattle, Washington.
