Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Zero to five years of experience in marine foundations and structures installation.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of construction practices, specified building codes, industry standards, company procedures, and contractual requirements.
  • Ability to work safely in a drug-free environment and complete a post-offer drug test.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and specialty bridge design software, including AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to plan and organize work to meet project deadlines.
  • Current driver’s license and passport.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to perform structural engineering calculations and apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems involving limited standardization and interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, word-processing, and database-related reporting software.
  • Ability to learn design software programs.
  • Ability to access work trestles, floating barges, boats, and dock facilities as required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with managing the design and construction of marine port facilities and marine-adjacent structures.
  • Perform or support site surveys, engineering submittals, quantity tracking, and development of construction means and methods.
  • Support site safety requirements and construction schedule updates.
  • Support contract and budget management.
  • Develop construction and engineering work plans.
  • Ensure completed site work meets the contract’s quality-control requirements.
  • Assist the Project Manager with documents and information needed for successful completion of construction activities.
  • Serve as a resource to field supervision regarding project specifications, procedures, and relevant contract provisions.
  • Attend construction project meetings and safety meetings as assigned.
  • Work with Field Engineers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and craft personnel on the project.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Primavera P6, Procore, and JD Edwards.
