Requirements

Five years of experience as a concrete finisher is required.
Five or more years of carpentry and form-setting experience within the construction industry is required.
Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, including equipment operation and safety manuals.
Ability to finish concrete to grade and with straight edges.
Ability to read and understand rebar plans and place rebar curtains and mats.
Ability to form slabs, columns, and walls for concrete pours.
Ability to ensure all parts of structures are plumb, square, and true.
Ability to use proper signals for crane work.
Ability to work with metric, feet, and hundredths measurements.
Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
Ability to survey grid lines and elevations.
Ability to treat equipment with care and keep tools clean.
Ability to erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
Ability to hang ledgers, overhang brackets, and decking with plywood and steel.
General knowledge of construction practices.
Ability to follow safety rules at all times.

Responsibilities

Build rough wooden structures such as concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports, and temporary frame shelters.
Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood and plywood.
Set forms, tie rebar, pour and finish concrete, and use string lines for line and level.
Use aluminum gang forms, Simons forms, EFCO forms, stick frames, and wood forms.
May weld metal parts to steel structural members.
Complete assigned tasks on time and to high quality standards.

•Concrete Finisher will build rough wooden structures such as concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports, and temporary frame shelters by performing the following duties.
•Experience setting forms, tying rebar, pouring and finishing concrete, using string line for line and level, able to read rebar and form drawings.
•Follow safety rules at all times.
•Knowledge and ability to use the following forming systems: Aluminum Gang Form, Simons, EFCO, Stick Frames, Wood Forms.
•Finish assigned tasks on time with high standards of quality.
•Has a good general knowledge of construction practices.
•Construct, erects, installs, and repairs structures, and fixtures of wood, and plywood.
•May weld metal parts to steel structural members.
