Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; experience in lieu of degree may be applied.
  • A minimum of one year of management or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish capability is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to build and maintain rapport with patients and providers from differing backgrounds.

Responsibilities
  • Direct, supervise, and coordinate staff and day-to-day operations for the assigned health center.
  • Manage the daily operations of both the Front Office and Back Office areas.
  • Respond to scheduling errors, patient-flow bottlenecks, patient concerns, and employee-relations issues, forwarding matters for formal follow-up as needed.
  • Ensure staff adherence to customer-service standards and quality-of-work expectations.
  • Manage provider appointment schedules and ensure provider templates are correctly applied and appointments are scheduled appropriately.
  • Maintain patient flow at a level that supports agency productivity standards and goals.
  • Manage patient flow in real time to ensure patients are checked in and registered promptly.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance and recommend promotions and disciplinary actions with the Health Center Manager.
  • Provide ongoing feedback on staff performance and assist with completing performance evaluations.
  • Provide coaching, training, counseling, and staff development with the Health Center Manager.
  • Participate in interviewing and selecting new Front Office and Back Office personnel with the Health Center Manager.
  • Plan and evaluate work assignments to ensure adequate coverage and quality care.
  • Forward notifications of site audits and visits, including OSHA and Blue Cross activities, to the Health Center Manager and support readiness.
  • Maintain direct communication with the Health Center Manager regarding operational issues, process-improvement suggestions, and other concerns.
  • Participate in process improvement and data collection under the direction of the Quality Assurance Coordinator.
  • Ensure data-entry corrections and completion are resolved promptly.
  • Monitor the accuracy of cash and copay collections, payment entry, and daily site deposits.
  • Provide coverage in health center positions as necessary.
  • Interface with other departments to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Manage assigned projects as directed by the Health Center Manager.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Health Center Manager.
