ProSidian Seeks a Senior Policy Analyst | Policy and Procedure Development, Appeals, Education, Outreach, and Appraisal Support [EHSS0010018] Engagement Team | Senior Advisor Labor Category - STD Level Exempt Professional aligned under services related to NAICS: 541611 located Washington, DC supporting The Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) is The Department of Energy (DOE)’s central organization responsible for health, safety, environment, and security; providing corporate-level leadership and strategic vision to coordinate and integrate these vital programs.  EHSS is responsible for policy development and technical assistance; safety analysis; and corporate safety and security programs. The Office of Environment, Health, Safety and Security advises DOE Senior Leadership on all matters related to environment, health, safety and security across the complex.

Seeking Senior Policy Analyst candidates with with relevant Energy, Resources, And Industrials Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Energy, Resources, And Industrials Sector Clients such as EHSS.  This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services and support as a Cost Reimbursement (Senior Policy Analyst) in the Energy, Resources, And Industrials Industry Sector focusing on Human Capital Solutions for clients such as The Department of Energy ( DOE | OC - EHSS) | Office of Classification (OC) | Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) Located In Washington, DC and across the Mid Atlantic Region.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Senior Policy Analyst

• Analyze and review draft legislation
• Develop reports and make policy recommendations
• Provide technical support for classification/declassification issues
• Assist with FOIA and MDR policy analysis
• Assist with onsite evaluations and appraisals

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications For Senior Policy Analyst | Policy and Procedure Development, Appeals, Education, Outreach, and Appraisal Support  (EHSS0010018) Candidates:

• Proven experience in policy analysis
• Familiarity with classification/declassification procedures

Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications

• Master’s degree in political science, law, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in policy analysis and development

Skills Required

• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Ability to work with both classified and unclassified information
• Expertise in legislation review and impact analysis

Competencies Required

• Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program).  Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
