Requirements
  • A Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Ph.D. is required, along with 10 or more years of analog or mixed-signal circuit design experience.
  • Understanding of signal integrity and power integrity principles and their interaction with receiver front-end principles is required.
  • Direct chip design experience in DDR interface design is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Verilog coding is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
  • Own and serve as the domain expert for analog and mixed-signal designs at chip and block level, especially for high-speed data receivers.
  • Architect, design, simulate, and characterize high-performance and low-power high-speed circuits, including receivers, samplers, and signal conditioning circuits.
  • Model chip- and block-level designs at various levels of detail for design tradeoff analysis and voltage and timing budgeting.
  • Supervise analog layout engineering to ensure attention to detail in high-performance analog layout for critical input/output blocks.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across different geographies and time zones to ensure engagement and execution.
  • Supervise layout, document designs, guide and debug post-silicon validation, and correlate silicon to simulation.

Rambus launches CryptoManager Root of Trust for Caliptra to secure data centre and AI SoCs

Rambus has launched its CryptoManager Root of Trust supporting the Caliptra specification, a security solution for data centre and AI system-on-chips. The product works with the open-source Caliptra framework, which provides a common foundation for device identity and attestation across CPUs, GPUs, AI accelerators and other infrastructure components. The solution offers side-channel and fault-injection protections and includes hardware and software integration tools, such as dedicated drivers, APIs and system-level security applications. Rambus said the product helps semiconductor designers accelerate deployments whilst adding protection and flexibility. Caliptra is an open-source silicon Root of Trust developed within the CHIPS Alliance for data centre-class SoCs. It aims to provide consistency across devices from different suppliers.

Rambus Inc. announced its CryptoManager Root of Trust supporting the Caliptra specification, a production-ready Root of Trust and security orchestration solution designed to deliver enterprise-grade security for mission-critical data center and AI SoCs. Interoperable with the open Caliptra framework, the Rambus solution helps semiconductor designers accelerate deployments with added protection, flexibility and support. CryptoManager Root of Trust delivers platform-wide security awareness with proven side-channel and fault-injection protections and best-in-class cryptographic agility for a low-risk path to volume implementations of highly secure data center and AI infrastructure devices. Caliptra is an open-source silicon Root of Trust designed for integration into data center-class SoCs. Initiated through the Open Compute Project and now developed within the CHIPS Alliance, it combines hardware, firmware and specifications to provide a common foundation for device identity, measured boot and attestation across CPUs, GPUs, AI accelerators, DPUs, networking devices and other infrastructure components. Its transparent, collaborative model supports greater consistency across devices from different suppliers. Production-Ready Security for Customer Caliptra Deployments With the CryptoManager Root of Trust supporting the Caliptra specification, designers can build on the open-source foundation to implement a complete production security subsystem. This addresses integration into the wider platform, provides the software and security orchestration needed for deployment, adds protection against advanced attacks, supports evolving cryptographic requirements, enables additional security certifications and maintains the solution throughout the device lifecycle. Rambus posts record Q2 revenue of $207M but shares fall 20% despite AI memory wins

Rambus reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $207.39 million and net income of $67.61 million, alongside completion of a multi-year share repurchase programme totalling 14,484,994 shares for $466.93 million. The company launched DDR5 9600 chipsets and secured a next-generation HBM IP design win with a Tier-1 US hyperscaler. It guided third-quarter revenue to $210 million to $216 million and GAAP diluted EPS of $0.59 to $0.67. Despite record results, the stock fell 19.8%. Analysts remain divided on the company's prospects, with the most optimistic projecting earnings could reach $480 million, whilst others caution that supply constraints or platform delays could limit upside. The investment case hinges on continued demand for high-speed, AI-centric memory solutions offsetting concentration risks in key product lines.
