Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience working with or managing an outsourced bookkeeping team.
  • Proven experience rebuilding and optimizing accounting systems and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated expertise with intercompany transactions and consolidations.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Salesforce, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Responsibilities
  • Assess and redesign existing accounting workflows, systems, and procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger.
  • Oversee and manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Develop and produce accurate and timely financial statements to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the creation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance and recommending adjustments as necessary.
  • Stay informed of federal, state, and local financial regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant.
  • Build and lead an accounting and bookkeeping team as needed, providing training, mentorship, and support.
  • Prepare for and support external audits, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve accounting systems and processes, leveraging technology and best practices.
Desired Qualifications
