Requirements

  • Two years of experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of or experience with a practice management system.
  • Ability to communicate via telephone, video, and/or in-person.
  • Vision adequate to read documents, computer screens, and forms.
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to use a keyboard and view computer screens for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel locally and long-distance as needed.
  • Ability to move around offices and clinics as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to clinical operations and patient care teams to facilitate the introduction, acceptance, integration, and optimal use of the Epic application in the clinic.
  • Provide daily support to Epic application users through troubleshooting, coaching, and consulting.
  • Identify and troubleshoot application issues as they occur, own the problem, and see it through to full resolution; refer issues requiring additional assistance to the IT Help Desk.
  • Work with advisory workgroups to optimize use of the system through implementation of new Epic practice management and electronic health record features and upgrades.
  • Attend appropriate clinic meetings as an Epic expert.
  • Coordinate training for new clinic staff and providers and support upgrade training.
  • Provide competency and efficiency training for existing users.
  • Attend and participate in Open Door Community Health Centers sessions for interest-raising, problem-solving, or training topics, and assist by providing expertise or resources such as handouts.
  • Ensure that changes to the electronic health record are communicated to end users in a timely and understandable manner.
  • Assist with administrative functions.
  • Coordinate special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities designated by the supervisor.
