Requirements
  • You've worked with ActionKit as a developer or campaigner. If you haven't worked with ActionKit then you've either worked with similar tools or participated in one of our client's advocacy campaigns.
  • You have a track record of finding needles in haystacks through creativity, intuition, patience, and sometimes a little luck.
  • You've learned complicated new tools or systems through experimentation and self-directed research.
  • You've proposed changes to a feature, tool, or product that went on to be implemented.
  • You know SQL and have used some combination of Python, Django, and REST APIs. If you haven't directly worked with these, you've seen these up close and have probably used something similar.
  • You can see problems from diverse perspectives, including that of campaigners, developers, and members of the public.
Responsibilities
  • own product quality, helping us consistently build and ship the tools that our clients need to change the world.
  • wrestle with questions like: Does a new feature do what it says on the tin? Does it do justice to the original request? Is the UI intuitive and responsive? What about corner cases and mischievous users?
  • automating QA tasks, improving documentation, or fixing an irksome bug yourself.
