Circle CPN wins Money20/20 Bronze with 175+ financial institutions driving network.

Circle CPN wins Money20/20 Bronze with 175+ financial institutions driving network. October 21, 2026 Key Takeaways: * Circle Payments Network (CPN) has been named Bronze for Payments in the Money20/20 awards. * Circle stated over 175 financial institutions assist to scale up CPN into a global payments network. * CPN revealed in previous reports that it would have $14.7B in annualized transaction volume at the end of Q2 2026. User Score Circle has attained new clarity and endorsement for its stablecoin payment initiative, with Circle Payments Network (CPN) earning Bronze at the Money20/20 awards. The company emphasized that it has an expanding institutional base, as it has over 175 financial institutions behind the network. Table of contents. Circle highlights 175+ institutions behind CPN. Circle announced the award on X, thanking both its payments team and the financial institutions helping build CPN. The 175-plus number is similar to that of Circle, which reported 175 financial institutions at the end of June 2026. This was up from a 24% rise in the previous one. Note that not all schools will necessarily be running active payment processing, although if they have enrolled this should mean they are. The firms are assisting in globalizing CPN, but Circle's award announcement didn't give a new breakdown of active transaction participants. CPN aims to link financial institutions, payment providers and fintech firms via stablecoins-based settlement systems, with USDC being the key point of value transport across borders. CPN reached $14.7 billion in annualized payment volume. Based on transactions completed over the last 30 days of the quarter, CPN now reports the number of annualized transactions at $14.7 billion, according to circle. The figure was up 76% quarter over quarter. This shouldn't be interpreted as the annual volume of settlement, but as the annualized number. It is also called the sales velocity of the transactions and is the rate of transactions in the reference period forecasted for 12 months. Separately, Circle also reported that an additional $14.8 trillion worth of USDC was transacted onchain in Q2, and that by the end of Q2, there were $73.3 billion worth of USDC in circulation, indicating much deeper USDC activity outside of CPN as a whole. Circle pushes stablecoins deeper into financial infrastructure. Circle is testing out CPN expansion to make it easier for traditional finance institutions to settle with stablecoins. Its Managed Payments service enables banks and payment companies and fintech platforms to connect with one another in their existing fiat value chain, and Circle to handle the underlying asset minting, burning, blockchain infrastructure and compliance. All that structure has been created to lighten the burden on institutions which would like to settle with stablecoins but do not wish to maintain crypto assets. Circle has also been increasing by way of partnership with Games across large markets when it comes to providing payout connectivity. The firm has stated that Nium settled USDC with more than 190 countries' payout infrastructure before. The other corridor partner firms include those that are building payouts in the United States, European Union, India, Philippines, Singapore & the United Arab Emirates. Now that stablecoins are starting to challenge traditional banking methods, particularly with bank settlement, payments for merchants, payroll systems, and global payout systems, Money20/20 is another feather in the cap for Circle. Circle says Payments Network won bronze at Money20/20 Money Awards.

Circle says Payments Network won bronze at Money20/20 Money Awards. At June 30, CPN had 175 enrolled institutions and a $14.7 billion annualized transaction pace based on activity during the quarter's final 30 days. Published Oct 19, 2026, 11:43 PM EDT Mentioned assets Circle announced Monday, Oct. 19, that Circle Payments Network (CPN) had won bronze in the Payments category at the Money20/20 Money Awards, drawing attention to its cross-border payments service built around USDC settlement and local payouts. At June 30, 2026, CPN had 175 enrolled financial institutions, 29% more than a quarter earlier. The count had grown from 55 institutions enrolled on Feb. 20, 2026. Circle's October announcement described more than 175 financial institutions as helping make the network, while the June figure measured enrollment. The two descriptions refer to different aspects of CPN's scale. CPN's annualized transaction volume reached $14.7 billion at June 30, up 76% from the previous quarter. Circle calculated the figure from activity during the quarter's final 30 days and expressed that pace as a yearly rate. It is not the amount transferred during the entire second quarter. The volume figure measures recent payment activity; enrollment counts institutions. CPN connects participating financial institutions for cross-border payments using USD Coin (USDC) settlement and local payout partners. The network links institutions across borders, with USDC serving as the settlement asset and local partners providing payout routes to recipients. Circle launched CPN Managed Payments on April 8, 2026. The service lets participating firms work in fiat while Circle handles USDC minting and burning, payment orchestration and blockchain infrastructure. Circle and Nium announced a partnership on May 27, 2026, giving CPN institutions access to Nium's payout infrastructure, which spans more than 190 countries and 100 currencies. Those figures describe the infrastructure's reach; they do not mean CPN payments have been completed in every covered market. The Nium arrangement adds payout coverage to CPN's cross-border payment setup. Together, the June enrollment and annualized-volume figures describe CPN's participating base and recent transaction pace, while the Nium figures describe available payout reach. They measure separate parts of the network and should not be combined into a count of completed payments. John Kim. John Kim reports on the digital-asset business for TokenPost. Circle's Payments Network surpasses 175 institutions as CPN wins Money20/20 bronze award.

Circle's Payments Network surpasses 175 institutions as CPN wins Money20/20 bronze award. * C. Monasterio * Published: October 20, 2026 * 12:40 am * Updated: October 20, 2026 * 12:40 am Table of Contents * Circle Payments Network registered over 175 onboarded financial institutions as of its October 2026 corporate report. * The platform secured the bronze distinction in the Payments category during the Money Awards ceremony at Money20/20. * Circle reported an annualized transaction volume of $14.7 billion for CPN at the end of the second quarter of 2026. More than 175 institutions globally are backing the Circle payment network, as confirmed by the company this Monday, October 19, after receiving the bronze award in the Payments category at the Money20/20 conference. Circle Payments Network (CPN) just won BRONZE in Payments at the @money2020 Money Awards. Thank you to the 175+ financial institutions helping make CPN a global payments network, and to the Circle payments team for building it. pic.twitter.com/C2GoBARFVl - Circle (@circle) October 19, 2026 The recognition honors the technical development of the Circle Payments Network (CPN), a system designed to channel institutional transfers using stablecoins. Through an official statement on social media, the company thanked both its engineering team and affiliated firms for driving cross-border settlement infrastructure forward. Corporate data reflects a trajectory of continuous integration. In its Q2 2026 report, published on August 5, Circle accounted for 175 registered entities through June, representing a 29% increase compared to the previous quarter. Corporate filings clarify that these firms are part of the integration network, although the reports do not specify how many of them were actively processing transfers as of October 19. In terms of commercial activity, CPN posted an annualized transaction volume run rate of $14.7 billion at the close of the second quarter of 2026. This metric was calculated based on the trailing 30-day record and reflected 76% operational growth compared to the first quarter of the year. The annualized calculation projects the transaction velocity of the analyzed period across twelve months. It does not imply that the total volume settled during that individual quarter effectively reached that figure. In parallel, the company's financial figures reflected independent activity within its reserve digital currency. Circle reported $14.8 trillion in onchain transfer volume for the USDC stablecoin during Q2 2026, alongside a total circulation of 73.3 billion USDC as of June 30. Fiat integration and banking corridor expansion. The company launched the CPN Managed Payments model on April 8 to allow banks, payment gateways, and fintech firms to operate digital settlements without the need to hold crypto assets directly. Under this technical model, participating entities retain their standard fiat currency interfaces. Circle handles the USDC minting and burning processes, technical orchestration, regulatory compliance, and direct connectivity with distributed ledgers. The architecture delegates technical management to Circle Technology Services, LLC, formally identified as the operational service provider. Company documents indicate that this framework aims to reduce the regulatory hurdles, operational complexity, and custody risks that have traditionally hindered banking adoption of tokenized assets. Settlement reports disclose partnerships with regional processors to connect USDC transfers with local banking systems across more than 190 countries. The corporate report highlights Nium as a primary partner for off-ramping funds into local bank accounts, while previous agreements identified Tazapay for US dollar payouts via Fedwire and Singapore payments through FAST. For the European Union corridor, CPN routes its euro transfers through the SEPA infrastructure. In India, transactions processed via NEFT take less than two hours, whereas settlements via IMPS and RTGS operate almost instantaneously, according to Circle's technical briefs. The digital payments sector witnessed other major developments during the same day at Money20/20. The firm Mesh formalized a partnership with Visa aimed at linking cryptocurrency and stablecoin balances to more than 175 million physical and digital point-of-sale terminals across 200 countries. The mechanism plans to generate virtual payment credentials to settle consumer transactions directly at conventional checkouts. Meanwhile, Mastercard announced the launch of its Stablecoin Security tool in North America during the event. The software evaluates fund traceability and screens risk patterns through application programming interfaces (APIs) before transactions are executed on the blockchain. According to the timeline outlined by Mastercard, the tool will expand its commercial availability globally throughout 2027.

Circle's market cap grows by $4.8M, outpacing competitors. News Mon, 19 Oct 2026 21:28:51 UTC 2 hours ago Circle has emerged as the leader in euro stablecoin market cap growth, adding $4.8 million over the past week. This surge positions Circle ahead of competitors like Schuman Financial and Societe Generale, which added $2.2 million and $1.3 million, respectively. The growth underscores increasing interest in euro-denominated stablecoins, as highlighted by a recent tweet from @tokenterminal. Inside the move. The broader crypto market is currently showing mixed signals, with varying momentum across major assets. However, Circle's performance stands out, particularly in the euro stablecoin sector. The recent increase in market cap reflects a growing demand for stablecoins as traders and investors seek more stable alternatives amid market volatility. This trend could correlate with Bitcoin's dominance and broader market cycles, indicating a shift towards more stable assets during uncertain times. Quick take. * Circle's market cap increased by $4.8 million over the past week. Schuman Financial added $2.2 million during the same period. Societe Generale's market cap growth reached $1.3 million. This growth indicates a rising interest in euro stablecoins. Circle's leadership may influence further investment trends in the stablecoin market. Token metrics. Currently, Circle's trading volume stands at $0, highlighting a period of thin flow. This lack of volume may suggest that the recent upward movement in market cap is primarily driven by strategic positioning rather than active trading. As market participants assess the implications of these movements, they may look to stablecoins as a hedge against volatility in other parts of the crypto market. ... Proof and Circle demo AI agents proving identity via x401 and paying in USDC via x402

Proof and Circle Internet Group (NYSE: CRCL) announced a collaboration showing how verified identity and machine-native payments can work together in AI agent transactions. They will demonstrate it at Money20/20 in Las Vegas, October 19–21. In the demo, an AI agent presents a verified Proof credential over x401, Proof's open identity protocol. It then pays the merchant in USDC over x402 from a Circle Agent Wallet. Businesses can currently see that an agent pays, but not who sent it or whether that person approved the purchase. The merchant checks the credential's signature without calling Proof, and keeps signed evidence of approval. Proof says the protocols could also let merchants pay identity issuers for each check. Proof published x401 in June.
