Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain financial records and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Safeguard the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
  • Prepare complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
  • Oversee, mentor, and assist lower-level accountants.
  • Comply with legal requirements to avoid legal challenges.
  • Keep information confidential to protect organizational value.
  • Maintain job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, personal networks, and professional organizations.
  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Create financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
  • Analyze clinical provider productivity and deployment.
  • Create pro formas for faculty recruits and assist with faculty retention packages.
  • Participate in developing the departmental fiscal-year annual operating budget for submission to the Dean's Office.
  • Work with leadership to strategically assess, plan, and implement new infrastructure and workflow initiatives.
  • Develop, prepare, and coordinate documentation for financial analysis projects, including budgets, forecasts, projections, expense performance, and presentations.
  • Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Create and maintain memoranda of understanding.
  • Review employee distributions, maintain costing allocations, and submit payroll accounting adjustments for funding changes.
  • Provide analytical evaluation for forward-looking financial or business-related projects and develop financial forecasts and account reconciliations.
  • Review reports, ensure financial information is recorded accurately, compare results with plans and forecasts, and recommend adjustments.
  • Design and build models summarizing scenarios for growth and expansion initiatives or opportunities.
  • Develop performance and productivity dashboards, models, and analyses.
