Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or higher in the subject matter is required.
- Current, valid Ohio teaching licensure for the grade and content area is required.
- The candidate must be eligible for licensure through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
- A clearance from an FBI/BCII background check meeting Ohio Revised Code § 3319.39 et seq. is required.
Responsibilities
- Educate the students assigned to the classroom.
- Create an environment for learning.
- Use data-driven practices and the district-approved curriculum to educate students.
- Prepare engaging and interactive lessons for students.
- Manage assigned students using appropriate instructional strategies and discipline techniques.
- Differentiate lessons for all learning styles.
- Collaborate with staff to implement students’ goals and objectives.
- Communicate with families about students’ academics.
- Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
- Participate actively in district-wide professional development and other educational opportunities.
- Administer assessments and analyze the data.
Desired Qualifications
- One to two years of experience teaching the relevant grade or content in a primary school, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
