Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Two years of additional coursework in social sciences or a related field.
  • One year of experience working with young adults.
  • Knowledge of disciplinary techniques.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate effectively to the student population.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and office equipment.
  • Knowledge of word-processing software applications.
  • Must obtain and maintain CPR/FA certification.
  • Ability to read and write at a college level.
  • Ability to work with teams and other departments.
Responsibilities
  • Model the company core values and operating principles at all times.
  • Create and sustain positive working relationships with co-workers.
  • Review behavioral reports for consistency and conformity to the rules and inform the supervisor of irregularities.
  • Monitor and coordinate class attendance reports from the Career Development Department, forwarding them to Resident Advisors and the Center Standards Officer for disciplinary action.
  • Assist in preparing statistical reports for the Monthly Management Report and other statistics concerning disciplinary activities.
  • Ensure proper recording and documentation of disciplinary systems and compliance with Job Corps policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain a complete file of student disciplinary records.
  • Maintain reports, files, and systems to support rapid retrieval of data by the Center Standards Officer.
  • Facilitate periodic student focus groups concerning center culture, accountability, norms, and related topics when assigned.
  • Attend required staff training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
