Requirements
  • Must have a current New Jersey Medication Aid Certification and a New Jersey Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide Certification.
  • At least six months of experience working with seniors in an assisted living, home health, hospital, or long-term care environment is preferred.
  • Must be able to work weekends.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
  • Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and intermittently lift and support residents using proper body mechanics.
Responsibilities
  • Provide quality care and services to residents and their families.
  • Assist with medication administration for residents according to their care plans and physicians' orders.
  • Administer or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication to residents and maintain related medical records under RN delegation, including supervision of the LPN.
  • Complete required annual medication training according to state requirements.
  • Complete company-required medication training modules.
  • Provide resident care to ensure care needs are met according to each resident's care plan.
  • Maintain medical records and written documentation accurately and completely in compliance with federal and state regulations, certification standards, and legal and ethical standards.
  • Maintain residents' comfort, privacy, and dignity while delivering services.
  • Participate in and attend scheduled in-service training.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and community policies and procedures.
  • Perform other assigned duties, including delegated care tasks and assignments.
