Quality Assurance Engineer
About the job
- Become the domain expert on Tomax applications and own quality across functional, edge-case, and user-experience dimensions.
- Evaluate functional specifications and technical architecture early to identify logic gaps, integration risks, and edge cases.
- Use command-line AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Gemini to draft, maintain, and run automated test scripts, mock datasets, and validation suites.
- Replicate and isolate complex multi-system customer bugs using logs, database queries, and AI-assisted root-cause analysis.
- Establish team best practices and track release readiness, quality metrics, and production stability.
- Have direct experience or strong willingness to use command-line AI development tools to query codebases, write validation scripts, and debug.
- Be able to read code such as JavaScript or Python, interact with REST APIs, write simple SQL queries, and work comfortably in a terminal or code environment.
- Have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and comfort managing frequent context-switching in an agile environment.
- Collaborate directly with product managers, developers, and customer support.
- Own end-to-end reliability for Tomax products throughout the product development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through production release.
- Leverage the engineering team's AI-native ecosystem to accelerate test execution.
- Turn product domain knowledge into AI-assisted test suites and auto-generated edge-case models.
- Conduct root-cause analyses and serve as the owner of product quality.
- Experience using Markdown files such as CLAUDE.md or system prompts to teach AI assistants product-specific validation rules.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, Bruno, or curl.
