Rewards & Charge Card Product Strategy, Product Manager - Business Cards & Payments
Do you get excited about creating game changing customer experiences that drive meaningful growth? Do you want to apply your skills to help small business owners thrive and get the most out of their card? The Capital One Small Business Card team is seeking a Product Manager who will collaboratively define and enable our experiences for Rewards, Benefits, and Charge Card Product Strategy.
In Business Cards & Payments, we’re on a journey to be the leading business card program. Our ambitious goals for capturing wallet share of heavy spenders and increasing our purchase volume require compelling rewards offerings on premium Charge Card products. The PM in this role will work with partners across Product, Tech, Business, Design, and Marketing to evolve the products and rewards experiences that differentiate us from the competition.
We are striving to push our Charge Card products more upmarket with premium value propositions and customer experience - rewards and benefits are a major part of that. Rewards can have a huge emotional and financial impact for small businesses and data suggests they are the most important aspect in choice of card issuer. In this role you will help define our intent, build a roadmap and strategy, as well as work with a cross-discipline team to implement and maintain our Rewards and Benefits experiences and marketing.
In this role, you’ll deepen your product competencies:
Human Centered:You’ll develop expertise in the customer journey of small business owners and delve into their needs, leveraging that understanding to create game-changing product offerings.
Business Focused:You’ll gain an appreciation for credit/charge products at Capital One and the business value drivers in Small Business Card, and you’ll work closely with business analysts across the full product lifecycle to size intent, test and learn, and develop a robust data-driven, customer-backed strategy.
Technology Driven:You’ll work with partners and platforms across the enterprise to prioritize and deliver on your roadmap, learning the ins and outs of multiple tech stacks and dependencies, and partner with a strong engineering team to refine and execute our intent.
Integrated Problem Solving:You’ll solve challenging and interesting problems alongside a highly-motivated cross-discipline team to balance tradeoffs between customer experience, business impact, speed to market, and risk and align on recommendations with partners and leadership.
Transformational Leadership:You’ll articulate a succinct product strategy and roadmap to deliver business value and share with stakeholders, elevating your team’s results and becoming a product subject matter expert.
We want you if you are:
Strategic: You are comfortable navigating between the big ideas and executional realities to create an achievable plan that drives progression and tangible value creation.
Open-Minded: You have your own perspective and methodology, but that does not prevent you from trying new things. Ultimately, you are inquisitive and believe in continual learning and evolution.
Customer Focused: You get a thrill from the journey of building and shipping products, and you have a desire and ability to connect with our external or internal customers to fully understand their needs.
Action-Oriented: You have an urgency to progress, you try things, and sometimes you fail but you apply those learnings to move forward. You can get around roadblocks and stay focused on your goals.
Collaborative Team Player: You are able to get people of different disciplines to pull together in the same direction against an understood goal and vision.
Organized: You are able to break large bodies of work into measurable and meaningful chunks; can drive and track multiple work streams at once.
Communicator & Influencer: You can communicate complex ideas clearly, both the why, the what and the how so that your leaders and other stakeholders understand the purpose and the plan; your team is in sync and aligned.
Intellectually Curious: You are not afraid to ask questions and get at the real ‘why’ behind the customer’s need; you are also interested in emerging technologies and how they can be applied to solutions you are driving.
