Swedish AI startup Lovable has grown into a global leader less than two years after launch, recently closing a funding round at a valuation of SEK 127 billion. Co-founders Anton Osika and Fabian Hedin are now dollar billionaires. In an interview with Framgångspodden, Osika revealed that Boris Nordenström, investor and founder of Jobline, was the company's first angel investor, followed by venture capital firm Hummingbird. He noted the initial investment wasn't a significant sum, as he and Hedin had no trouble raising capital from the start. The company's valuation more than doubled from SEK 61 billion in late 2025. Lovable aims to become "the last piece of software", building all other services.
Lovable can now publish apps into your company's Microsoft account. The publishing part is still in preview. Lovable can now publish apps into a company's Microsoft tenant with work logins. The publishing step is in public preview, so check what IT sees first. BuilderWithin Editorial Team BuilderWithin Lovable says it now works with Microsoft so that apps built in Lovable can run inside a company's own Microsoft environment. In Lovable's announcement, the company says the aim is to remove a familiar gap: a tool built on a SharePoint list works for one team, but putting it in front of the whole company becomes a separate project. A "tenant" is your company's private slice of Microsoft's cloud, where employee accounts, permissions, and approved apps live. Apps inside it use the same sign-in and rules as everything else IT manages. What Lovable actually shipped. Lovable describes three connections. Publish into your tenant. Once an app is built, you connect Copilot Managed Runtime and publish. Lovable packages the app with Microsoft's Copilot Managed Runtime SDK and deploys it into your Microsoft Entra tenant. Entra is Microsoft's employee account system. People open the app with their work login, and it appears in the company's app inventory. Build on Microsoft 365 and Fabric data. You can connect Outlook, Teams, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, or OneNote. Lovable says the app builds on that data and writes back to it. Connecting Microsoft Fabric lets the app read your lakehouses and warehouses, which are Microsoft's data storage products for analytics. Lovable says nothing is exported or copied. Apps can also read and write Dataverse and SQL, which matters if your company runs on Dynamics. The availability details matter. Lovable says Copilot Managed Runtime is in public preview. That is the piece that puts the app inside the tenant, so the headline feature is the least settled one. Preview features can change or behave unevenly, and Lovable's post does not describe what happens to a published app if that changes. The Microsoft 365 connectors, Fabric integration, and Microsoft sign-in are listed as available across all plans. Workspace sign-in with Entra ID is included on Business and Enterprise. Lovable lists SSO, SCIM, security scanning, and audit logs on those plans too. Lovable does not publish separate pricing for the Microsoft features in this announcement. The risk: an app that can write to company data. Reading a SharePoint list is low stakes. Writing back to it, or to Outlook and Teams, is not. An app you generated by prompt can now change real company records with real employees' permissions. Lovable's post does not say how much of an employee's access the app inherits when it writes. Treat that as unanswered until you test it. What builders should do next. If you build internal tools for a company on Microsoft, run a small pilot before anyone depends on it. * Pick one low-stakes app, such as a request tracker on a test SharePoint list, not a live one. * Publish it through Copilot Managed Runtime following Lovable's documentation. * Ask IT to confirm three things: the app appears in the app inventory, only directory members can sign in, and a person without access to the underlying list cannot see its data through the app. * Try to write a bad record on purpose, then confirm you can see and undo it. Pass means all three access checks hold and you can trace and reverse the write. If any fail, keep the app on the read-only connectors until Lovable documents more. The bigger picture. Lovable's own framing is that getting an app in front of a whole company is a separate project from building it. This release is its attempt to shrink that project. Whether the preview holds up for a whole company is the open question. End of article BuilderWithin Weekly · Free If you found this useful, subscribe free. Get BuilderWithin Weekly in your inbox. Let's talk about how to ensure that shiny new app you're eyeing won't compromise your data. 25 Sep 2026 - , 6 min. read Exciting times are here with AI platforms revolutionizing various industries, especially software development. Have you heard of "vibe coding"? It's a hot trend that's making waves, with reports suggesting that 84% of developers are jumping on the AI tools bandwagon. But as convenient as these tools are, they also come with risks. Novice developers may inadvertently introduce bugs and vulnerabilities, while experienced ones can be lulled into a false sense of security. So, how can you ensure that the app you're eyeing is safe to use? Common vibe coding mistakes. When functionality and aesthetics take precedence over quality, vibe coding tools can introduce critical oversights. Watch out for: * Hardcoded secrets like API keys left in the code, exposing sensitive data to malicious actors. * Lack of input validation and access controls, opening the door to data manipulation and unauthorized access. * Public-by-default settings that compromise user privacy and security. * Weak encryption that makes data theft easier. * Missing rate limiting that allows for brute-force attacks on passwords. Additionally, vibe coded apps are susceptible to prompt injection attacks, where hackers embed malicious instructions in AI-generated content. A cautionary tale. Real-world incidents have highlighted the dangers of coding oversights. For example, the vibe coding platform Lovable faced security issues when a researcher found vulnerabilities in an app hosted on the platform, exposing sensitive user information. Potential risks of vibe coded apps. From data loss to financial exposure, poorly coded apps can lead to: * Compromised passwords and session tokens * Identity theft through mishandled personal data * Unauthorized data access by other users * Exposure of AI prompts and sensitive information * Leakage of payment information Key questions to ask about vibe coded apps. Lovable free chat: new conversational planning tools explained. Lovable has introduced a conversational workspace update that lets creators brainstorm, review project architecture, and inspect running applications without consuming standard generation credits. The platform announced on the Lovable blog that users across Free, Pro, and Business workspaces now receive a dedicated daily chat allowance. This means teams can run pre-build research, query live databases, and test product strategies directly inside the platform interface before committing their build credits. The current pricing structure for Lovable free chat, including its daily conversation allowance, remains valid through October 31, 2026. This long window gives developers and founders predictable conditions to plan software prototypes, evaluate project direction, and draft team documentation without immediate operational overhead. Table of Contents What the Lovable free chat update includes. The core objective of Lovable free chat is to separate ideation and technical analysis from actual code execution. In earlier workflows, experimenting with software concepts required spending plan credits each time the system generated layout files or set up backend logic. With this update, users can open an exploratory chat interface to evaluate technical choices before a single component is rendered. For instance, an entrepreneur building a fitness platform can ask the system whether to offer per-session bookings or recurring monthly memberships. The chat assistant helps analyze pricing tradeoffs, customer friction points, and feature prioritization. Creators can also ask the assistant to critically examine architectural decisions, such as questioning why an application requires mandatory account creation before visitors can test product demos. The chat system also supports direct verbal prompts. If explaining an onboarding process or business requirement is easier to say than write, users can speak out loud directly to the assistant. Furthermore, the conversation remains active while Lovable works on an active build, allowing builders to supply missing details or ask follow-up questions without stopping background progress. Using Lovable free chat across connected workflows. Software applications rarely exist in isolation from wider business operations. The Lovable free chat experience integrates with external organizational platforms, including Linear, Notion, and Granola, enabling users to ground conversations in genuine operational records. Creators who manage documentation and task flows through Notion systems can pull project notes and client scopes straight into their Lovable chat sessions. This integration simplifies how teams handle incoming feature requests. For example, if three independent users submit support notes requesting an automated export button, the builder can connect Granola interview transcripts or Notion ticket logs into the conversation. The assistant can compare these requests against existing roadmaps, draft an implementation plan, and organize an internal summary for product stakeholders. Beyond internal roadmaps, the chat feature helps teams write collateral connected to their software. After launching an internal tool or client portal, users can ask the assistant to write launch emails, draft step-by-step onboarding documentation for staff, or generate formal expansion proposals for clients requesting extra milestones. Inspecting code and cloud data without burning credits. Another functional area unlocked by Lovable free chat is the ability to inspect existing applications and backend structures. The assistant can read a project's underlying code and query its connected Lovable Cloud database, turning the conversation pane into a diagnostic console. Builders can use this visibility to audit cloud metrics. If database queries or storage allocations show sudden activity, founders can ask the system to examine usage patterns and pinpoint which database requests or background operations drive up the balance. Teams can also map functional gaps before altering production files. For example, if an internal workflow currently routes employee requests through the app but requires approvals to happen manually over email, users can instruct the assistant to plan an in-app approval step before asking the engine to build it. Additionally, the system allows cross-project borrowing. A proven checkout flow or analytical dashboard created in an earlier build can serve as a structural reference for a completely new application. Users simply instruct the chat assistant to analyze the established repository and adapt that logic for the new deployment. Lovable free chat credit rules and limits. While the conversational surface is accessible without charge, Lovable maintains clear boundaries between discussion and resource-intensive generation. Understanding these rules ensures project budgets remain predictable: * Free conversation runs on a daily allowance provided across Free, Pro, and Business workspace plans through October 31, 2026. * Handing planned wireframes or specifications off to Plan or Build modes triggers credit consumption under your normal plan terms. * Generating visual assets, including video renders and static image elements, continues to use standard generation credits. * Comparing multiple layouts side by side, such as generating two live homepage alternatives simultaneously, consumes regular building credits once the build phase starts. By keeping planning in the free tier and reserving credits for code assembly and media generation, creators can refine requirements thoroughly before burning project balances. Frequently asked questions about Lovable free chat. Who can access the Lovable free chat feature? The daily chat allowance is available to users on Free, Pro, and Business workspaces. This allocation is refreshed on a daily schedule and is scheduled to remain active under current pricing through October 31, 2026. Does using Lovable free chat consume generation credits? Conversations, code inspections, tool queries, and planning prompts do not deduct regular credits within the daily limit. Credits are only deducted when the assistant hands work off to Plan or Build modes, or when generating media assets such as images and launch videos. Can the chat assistant interact with existing Lovable databases? Yes, Lovable free chat can query your project's Lovable Cloud database and examine repository files. This allows users to troubleshoot usage spikes, plan schema updates, and design new feature logic before applying changes to live environments. Putting conversational planning into practice. Lovable has surpassed $600 million in annualised revenue, co-founder Fabian Hedin announced at the HumanX summit in Amsterdam on Thursday. The vibe-coding platform reported $500 million in June. Hedin said two-thirds of Fortune 500 companies now use Lovable's product, including Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Deutsche Telekom. Apps created on the platform attract nearly one billion views monthly. Unlike traditional coding tools that output code, Lovable delivers complete products, handling hosting, deployment, and scaling. The company has raised over $700 million across two funding rounds eight months apart. It secured $300 million from Menlo Ventures and CapitalG at a $6.6 billion valuation last December, then raised $400 million from Menlo Ventures and Scaleup Europe Fund at a $13.3 billion valuation this August.
