- Demonstrated interpersonal savvy and communication skills with individuals and groups of various sizes.
- Demonstrated drive for results, including action orientation, focus, passion, and initiative.
- Minimum two years of customer service experience.
- Minimum two years of leadership experience.
- Experience serving or leading in a church setting.
- Experience mentoring or leading others to Christ.
Responsibilities
- Help people commit to Jesus Christ and the local campus by executing regular Starting Point classes.
- Champion Starting Point follow-up for the campus and ensure every person understands their next step in their faith journey.
- Own baptism on the campus and ensure every person is celebrated and challenged to take their next step.
- Champion the Next Step Center by helping attendees become aware of their next step and begin engaging in it.
- Help people activate their gifts and talents to fulfill the vision of the church.
- Recruit and develop group coaches in the assigned area of responsibility.
- Train, empower, and encourage coaches in best practices, group multiplication, and disciple-making.
- Ensure coaches actively help people connect in community, grow spiritually, and take next steps.
- Cast a clear vision for moving people to their next step and multiplying groups.
- Cast a clear vision for how groups fulfill the organization’s vision and mission.
- Help coaches remain focused on helping people connect in community and grow in their next step.
- Assist people in finding the best group for their needs or location.
- Empower coaches to develop assistant coaches and activate group members’ gifts and talents so groups can multiply.
- Provide pastoral care to people in the assigned area of responsibility, including weddings, funerals, baptisms, hospital or hospice calls, referrals, resources, benevolence, and family dedications.
- Assist and contribute to campus team events, including events outside the assigned area of responsibility.
- Develop relationships with key members and organizations in the assigned area of responsibility, including school leaders, business leaders, and city officials.
- Meet with leaders, provide pastoral care, conduct follow-up by phone, email, or one-to-one meetings, visit groups, build relationships, engage with staff, attend campus meetings, and assist with campus events.
Desired Qualifications
- A degree in Biblical Studies is helpful.
- Experience working in ministry is preferred but not required.
