Delek, Kinder Morgan and World Kinect: three fuel stocks exposed to rising gas prices

Hotter US consumer price index data and a sharp jump in fuel costs have put inflation back in focus. A Simply Wall St screen names three fuel stocks exposed to higher gasoline and diesel prices. Delek US Holdings, a refiner valued at about $4.7 billion, earns roughly $11.9 billion from refining and $1.2 billion from logistics. Its enterprise optimisation program is expected to add $130–$170 million of annualised cash flow. Natural gas pipelines bring in about $11.7 billion of revenue, and about $10 billion in gas projects sit outside its sanctioned backlog. Trump admin invokes Defense Production Act to expand Texas refinery, Vance says.

Trump admin invokes Defense Production Act to expand Texas refinery, Vance says. The administration previously invoked the Defense Production Act this year hoping to bolster the production of munitions amid concerns of a shortage due to fighting in the Middle East. Published: October 13, 2026 3:19pm Vice President JD Vance on Tuesday announced that the administration had invoked the Defense Production Act to expand a refinery in Tyler, Texas, during a campaign stop on behalf of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. "I am pleased to announce that the Trump administration working with the refinery at Delek has used the Defense Production Act and we are gonna expand the refinery right here in Tyler, Texas," he said. "We want millions of gallons of commercial grade and military spec fuel to come out of this refinery in addition to what it's already producing!" Vance the announcement as the administration works to stabilize energy markets across the globe, which have been in chaos since the start of the Iran war. President Donald Trump recently negotiated a deal with Russia to inject diesel fuel into the global market, despite ongoing sanctions over the Ukraine war. He has further pressed Ukraine to refrain from striking Russian energy facilities, hoping to keep supply steady. The administration previously invoked the Defense Production Act this year hoping to bolster the production of munitions amid concerns of a shortage due to fighting in the Middle East. Vance was in Texas to support Paxton, who faces an unexpectedly close contest against Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico in the typically Republican bastion. US gasoline hits $4.48 as 3 refining stocks gain pricing power amid Iran tensions

US gasoline prices have hit $4.48 per gallon amid heightened geopolitical tensions, creating volatility in refining stocks ahead of midterm elections. Elevated fuel prices are generating pricing power for some integrated oil and refining companies whilst punishing others. Delek US Holdings operates US-focused refining and logistics operations, generating approximately $11.9 billion in refining revenue and $1.2 billion from logistics. The company has a market capitalisation of roughly $4.4 billion. A potential favourable Supreme Court or EPA ruling on small refinery exemptions could unlock value exceeding Delek's current market cap. CVR Energy, valued near $5.2 billion, operates US refineries alongside renewables and fertiliser units. The company generates approximately $7.7 billion from petroleum operations and $677 million from nitrogen fertiliser.
