Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of professional experience in business development, consulting, or a related client-facing role.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience presenting to or engaging directly with clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Responsibilities
  • Independently research federal opportunities, including requests for information, requests for proposals, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts, governmentwide acquisition contracts, and task orders, and deliver analysis that informs pursuit decisions.
  • Identify, qualify, and prioritize leads; maintain pipeline accuracy and reporting in customer relationship management tools.
  • Lead customer call planning and represent the company in selected customer and industry meetings.
  • Develop competitive intelligence, industry trend analysis, and agency priority assessments for use in capture strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, small businesses, and teaming contacts.
  • Contribute to business development strategy sessions by providing research-backed recommendations.
  • Represent the company at networking and industry events as a visible member of the business development team.
  • Own key internal business development operations, including customer relationship management tools, SharePoint sites, and pipeline reporting.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience at a top-tier consulting or professional services firm, or a similar structured, client-facing environment.
  • Experience or coursework related to federal acquisition, procurement, or government contracting.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management and pipeline tools such as GovWin, Salesforce, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of federal socio-economic programs, including 8(a), WOSB, HUBZone, and SDVOSB, and their impact on opportunity pursuit.
  • Exposure to capture or business development methodologies such as Shipley or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of federal agency missions, particularly in the financial regulatory sector, including OCC, FDIC, EXIM, IRS, CFPB, CFTC, and SEC.
  • Federal contracting experience.
