Requirements
  • Possess a college diploma (DEC) in computer science or an attestation of college studies (AEC) in computer science, or a comparative evaluation issued by MIFI for diplomas obtained outside Quebec; alternatively, possess three additional years of experience toward the next criterion.
  • Possess eight years of experience as a programmer in system development, maintenance, and evolution.
  • Have accumulated 1,000 person-days within the past six years in system maintenance, evolution, and development in a technological and organizational environment comparable to the Régie’s.
  • Possess five years of experience as a programmer using the Web N-Tiers workshop or the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET development workshop.
Responsibilities
  • Follow the appropriate process, based primarily on the Régie’s current methodology (Guide Vert derived from the Macroscope methodology).
  • Participate in agile methodology activities, including preparing reviews, retrospectives, iteration planning, and daily stand-ups.
  • Review technical implementation needs.
  • Break down the components to be developed at the organic design level.
  • Identify common components to create or use.
  • Modify or prepare the system’s organic documentation.
  • Program on the relevant platform.
  • Ensure alignment with and compliance with the organic architecture.
  • Perform all levels of testing, including regression and unit tests, and prepare test specifications and data.
  • Support functional and system testing.
  • Implement the solution.
  • Provide production, implementation, and post-implementation support.
  • Participate in project meetings and recurring project, system maintenance, and system evolution activities.
  • Perform component management activities in the environments.
  • Provide user support.
  • Modify or prepare the production implementation plan.
  • Deliverables include documentation and artifacts for the Régie’s process; the organic design dossier and documentation; programming and other IT components; a test dossier with specifications and permanent test sets; the production dossier; component deployments across environments; the solution implementation plan; operating guides; updated registers and the EI dictionary; component management documentation; forms and requests for other VPTI sectors, including security, magnetic space, development support, integration, and data administration; and any other deliverables required for the project.
Desired Qualifications
  • Possess at least six months of experience within the past three years in one or more of the following technologies: Oracle database or Teradata database (or an equivalent information system).
