Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science, or a similar field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience developing applications using object-oriented technologies such as .NET is required.
  • Good knowledge of the trading business and the systems and processes needed to support it is required.
  • Solid understanding of the trading lifecycle from trade inception to settlement is required.
  • Knowledge of BizTalk integration and RightAngle ETRM solutions and how they fit within a trading organization's application architecture is required.
  • Knowledge of Credit, Commodities Risk Management, and Risk Analytics applications is required.
  • Application Development Lifecycle experience is required.
  • Good understanding of database structures and stored procedures is required, including the ability to write and understand complex database queries.
  • Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle, TFS, Microsoft Visual Studio, SOA, and web services is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a group of 20 offshore and onshore developers to deliver support functions for multiple trading, risk, and credit systems.
  • Work with outsourcing partners, onshore and offshore team members, business contacts, and other IT teams.
  • Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews.
  • Work with onshore and offshore coordinators to assign work to team members.
  • Assess estimates, review documentation, streamline processes, and set standards.
  • Contribute to ITSM processes by attending release planning, CAB, and Go/No Go meetings.
  • Ensure that application software, data, system software, hardware, and physical network architecture comply with client architecture standards.
  • Provide work direction to onshore and offshore resources.
  • Help design, implement, and monitor work processes.
  • Interview and evaluate candidates for the run organization.
  • Support the selection, implementation, and use of DevOps and Agile/Scrum processes and tools across the development lifecycle.
  • Help establish the vision, strategies, business plan, system and application architecture, business processes, and standards and policies for Trading applications.
  • Contribute to Trading Systems architecture decisions, design, priorities, and strategic decisions.
  • Oversee development performed by onshore and offshore partners and produce proofs of concept when required.

  • Existing experience in a trading environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience with continuous integration/build, automated testing, automated deployment, and configuration management tools and processes is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and their application to a development team is highly desirable.

Indigo Beam acquires Esri Gold Partner Argis Solutions to expand GIS services across public sector

Indigo Beam, a Houston-based digital transformation firm, has acquired Argis Solutions, an Esri Gold Partner specialising in GIS professional services for government and private sector clients. Financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 2016 and based in Aurora, Colorado, Argis brings expertise in spatial analysis, machine learning and AI-driven GIS solutions. The company serves state and local government, federal agencies, nonprofits and private organisations. The acquisition establishes Indigo Beam's presence in Colorado, Wyoming, Illinois and Ohio whilst expanding its geospatial offerings in the public sector. Argis will join forces with LOGIC Solutions Group, Indigo Beam's existing Esri Gold Partner brand focused on asset-intensive industries including renewable energy and oil and gas. Argis will continue operating under its own brand.
