Boundless Life expands to Barcelona, bringing its live, work and learn model to one of Europe's most vibrant cities.

Boundless Life expands to Barcelona, bringing its live, work and learn model to one of Europe's most vibrant cities. Boundless Life Oct 13, 2026, 08:05 ET The global family community will open in Barcelona's beachside Poblenou neighborhood in January 2027, giving families a base by the Mediterranean, with the culture, creativity and opportunities of Barcelona within easy reach. MONTREAL, QC, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ - Boundless Life, the global company redefining how families live, work, and learn, today announced Barcelona, Spain as its ninth destination. Opening in January 2027, the new location will bring the Boundless Life model to Poblenou, a creative, family-friendly neighborhood just blocks from the Mediterranean and a short metro ride from the heart of Barcelona. Across Europe, Asia, and South America, from island communities and coastal towns to historic cities and cultural destinations, Boundless has designed each destination around the character of the place itself. Barcelona extends that approach into a major global city without asking families to give up the walkability, connection, and sense of neighborhood that define the Boundless experience. "Families can build an everyday life around school, work, the beach, parks, and their local community, while having the culture, energy, and opportunities of Barcelona there whenever they want them," said Mauro Repacci, Co-Founder and CEO of Boundless Life. "It combines global access with a very human scale of living." Boundless Life's Barcelona community will be based in Poblenou, just a few blocks from Bogatell Beach. The neighborhood offers city access without city intensity, with walkable streets, parks, cafés, beaches, and easy metro connections across Barcelona. The former industrial district is now one of the city's most creative neighborhoods, where old factories house galleries, studios, restaurants, and technology companies alongside the 22@ innovation district. That combination makes Barcelona particularly compelling for globally minded working parents. Families will have access to furnished homes within the neighborhood, a dedicated Community Hub for coworking, and the infrastructure and transportation connections of a major European city, creating a setting where professional life and family life can coexist naturally. Barcelona will offer Boundless Education for children ages 4 to 12, with the city itself becoming an extension of the classroom. Students will be able to explore architecture and design, Spanish and Catalan language and culture, history, food, coastal ecosystems, urban ecology, and the changing relationship between cities and the natural environment through immersive, place-based learning. The destination also offers an accessible entry point for families curious about worldschooling but not yet ready for a more remote international experience. Barcelona's extensive transportation network, international airport, healthcare and other infrastructure, and global familiarity make it possible for families to experience life in another country while retaining many of the conveniences and connections of a major city. For Elodie Ferchaud, Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer of Boundless Life, Poblenou stood out because it offers a version of Barcelona shaped by everyday local life. "Poblenou gives families something quite rare: Mediterranean beach life, space for children to move and explore, and one of the world's most exciting cities just beyond your doorstep," said Ferchaud. "You don't have to live in the middle of the city to experience Barcelona. Families can become part of a neighborhood, develop their own rhythms and community, and dip into everything the city has to offer whenever they want to." Barcelona will welcome its founding cohort beginning January 3, 2027, with additional Worldschool and summer programs offered throughout the year. Bookings open this month. As U.S. Parents rethink baby sleep, "Hey, Sleepy Baby" Founder heads to Japan with Boundless Life.

As U.S. Parents rethink baby sleep, "Hey, Sleepy Baby" Founder heads to Japan with Boundless Life. Hey, Sleepy Baby Mar 25, 2026, 09:08 ET Infant Sleep Educator Rachael Shepard-Ohta partners with Boundless Life to learn how cultural context shapes sleep and parenting across global families SAN FRANCISCO, March 25, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ - Rachael Shepard-Ohta, infant sleep educator and founder of Hey, Sleepy Baby, is expanding her global research on sleep and parenting culture through a new partnership with Boundless Life, where she is learning from traveling families while studying how different societies approach baby sleep. Shepard-Ohta, whose platform supports more than half a million parents worldwide, is currently researching cultural perspectives on infant and child sleep for her upcoming book, expected in 2027. The project explores how factors such as parental leave, living arrangements, cultural norms, and community support shape how families experience sleep during early parenthood. Through the partnership, Shepard-Ohta is embedded within Boundless Life's new Kamakura destination, engaging directly with a global community of traveling families while conducting real-time, qualitative research. While in Japan, Shepard-Ohta is meeting with Boundless families from around the world and with local parents, learning how they approach infant sleep within their own cultural and family contexts. She will also share insights from her research so far and gather stories and perspectives from parents navigating sleep across different cultures and living environments. Her work centers on developmentally appropriate, science-backed, attachment-informed sleep support that prioritizes relationships and responsiveness rather than rigid schedules or one-size-fits-all approaches. "Sleep is deeply cultural," said Shepard-Ohta. "The way families approach baby sleep is shaped by everything from parental leave policies to living arrangements to cultural beliefs about independence and connection. I'm excited to listen to families' experiences and learn how different cultures support both parents and babies during the early years. What makes this community especially unique is that these families come from all over the world to immerse themselves in Japanese culture, which creates a unique opportunity to compare how sleep and parenting are approached in their home cultures versus their experience living in Kamakura." Through Hey, Sleepy Baby, Shepard-Ohta teaches that infant sleep unfolds gradually as the nervous system matures and that frequent night waking in infancy is often developmentally normal. Her work focuses on helping parents reduce fear and pressure around sleep while offering strategies that support both child development and parent wellbeing. "At Boundless, we see every day how living across cultures expands the way families approach parenting, learning, and daily life," said Maura Repacci, CEO. "With a global community of families from 50+ countries, our cohorts offer a unique window into how norms like sleep vary across cultures. Rachael's work aligns closely with our belief that exposure to different ways of living can unlock new possibilities for families." About Hey, Sleepy Baby Hey, Sleepy Baby is an online platform supporting more than half a million parents with science-informed, relationship-first guidance around infant and child sleep. Founded by Rachael Shepard-Ohta, an Infant-Parent Mental Health Specialist, Certified Sleep Consultant, Certified Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator, and M.Ed., the platform offers courses, consultations, and resources that help parents better understand biologically normal sleep and make informed decisions that align with their values. Rachael is also the author of an upcoming book exploring cultural approaches to infant sleep, expected in 2027. Through her podcast No One Told Us, she explores the realities of modern parenthood through expert insights, personal stories, and candid conversations.
