- Use SQL and manipulate large-scale data.
- Design large language model applications using advanced prompting, retrieval-augmented generation, agents, and orchestration through function calling; implement evaluations to measure quality.
- Use AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude, and Copilot regularly, while recognizing their limitations.
- Build end-to-end prototypes from an idea to a functional demonstration, such as a script, simple application programming interface, or minimal interface.
- Break down ambiguous problems, identify practical first steps, and develop non-obvious approaches without waiting for a complete specification.
- Critically assess potentially erroneous or fragile outputs from oneself and AI tools, and revise judgments based on evidence.
- Take ownership of work, make progress without a detailed roadmap, and communicate and present work clearly across analysis and prototyping.
- Explore large-scale datasets to identify insights and actionable opportunities quickly.
- Design end-to-end AI prototypes, including machine learning and large language model prototypes, from initial idea to functional demonstration, turning usage signals into product intelligence.
- Use AI tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to assist with design, prototype alternatives, and test hypotheses while critically reviewing their outputs.
- Systematically verify the reliability of results, including results produced by AI tools.
- Define stopping criteria and discontinue approaches that do not produce useful results.
- Collaborate with team experts to turn ideas into prototypes and hand them off effectively for industrialization.
- Have previously designed and delivered a product to real users through a startup, personal project, or independent work.
- Show curiosity about applied AI, data, and behavioral signals.
- Understand how large enterprises operate, including IT departments, adoption, and information-system governance.
