eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Write, quality, high performance, and maintainable back-end code while focusing on scalability, security, cross-browser compatibility, web standards, interoperability, and accessibility. Estimate engineering efforts, prioritize projects, plan implementations, and triage production issues. Improve existing software products and develop distributed software systems powering eBay’s websites. Suggest, collect and synthesize requirements and create effective feature roadmaps. Develop groundbreaking services, using best practices, to meet user’s needs. Evaluate user needs and translate them into viable software designs and products. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

1.    Two years of experience designing and developing complex software systems using Java, JavaScript, and object-oriented programming
2.    Three years of experience using Python to build AI applications
3.    6 months of experience with using TensorFlow to build and train machine learning models 
4.    6 months of experience with Natural Language Processing
5.    6 months of experience performing data analysis using Pandas 
 

Salary: $157,000.00-205,700.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
