About the job
- Sufficient knowledge of the fitness format in which the applicant is applying to teach, such as aerobics, kickboxing, Pilates, yoga, fitness, gymnastics, language, martial arts, dance, art, or music.
- Current related fitness and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Successful completion of a drug screen and criminal background check if selected for hire.
- Conduct unique and quality workout classes in assigned fitness formats that motivate patrons and keep them safe.
- Assist recreation staff as needed and perform other related duties as required.
- Previous fitness instructing experience.
