About the company

GTI Fabrication builds custom metal enclosures and modular systems for businesses developing energy storage, data center, defense and industrial equipment. Its structures house customers' batteries, electrical controls and mechanical equipment, with designs tailored to each product's operating requirements. Customers contract with GTI to turn their designs into finished hardware, combining engineering, metal fabrication and coatings with mechanical and electrical assembly. The company fits equipment into these structures and tests the completed systems before they leave its manufacturing facilities. Founded in 2015, GTI is headquartered in Buffalo, New York.

What believers are saying

  • Customer relationships extend beyond delivery: GTI sells equipment maintenance, repairs and retrofits after manufacturing.
  • Employees get development pathways: GTI advertises training programs and routes into leadership roles on its careers page.
  • Launch work includes trial runs: GTI uses pilot production to identify manufacturing problems before full-scale output.

What critics are saying

  • International sourcing adds coordination: GTI manages customs and regional regulations across a manufacturing network spanning Asia, Europe and Mexico.
  • Goodyear inspection work is physical: GTI's second-shift quality technician posting requires occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Engineering teams answer to client specifications: GTI involves customers at every stage through final design approval.

What makes GTI Fabrication unique

  • Domestic procurement is built in: GTI manufactures U.S.-made shipping containers compliant with the Trade Agreements Act.
  • Production sites have distinct jobs: GTI's Phoenix facility integrates systems without fabrication, while Goodyear builds steel battery enclosures.
  • Quality processes carry certification: GTI identifies its organization as certified to the ISO 9001 quality management standard.
