About the company

PadSplit is a real estate marketplace that converts single-family homes into shared, furnished rooms and rents them to workers seeking affordable housing. The platform lists rooms, manages listings, payments, and screening, and charges a weekly all-inclusive rent covering the room, utilities, and Wi-Fi. Property owners earn more by renting individual rooms, while tenants pay less than traditional apartments. The goal is to expand the supply of affordable, workforce housing by growing furnished, room-by-room options without new construction, using technology to streamline the process.

Mayor Dickens launches pilot program aimed at preventing evictions.

Mayor Dickens launches pilot program aimed at preventing evictions. September 14, 2026 at 6:17 pm EDT ATLANTA - A new pilot program in Atlanta aims to help renters avoid eviction when they experience financial hardship. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens announced the Neighborhood Reinvestment Initiative, which includes a zero-cost, zero-fee anti-displacement loan designed to help eligible renters stay in their homes. "The Neighborhood Reinvestment Initiative is about investing in communities while making sure the people who have called them home can stay and benefit from that progress," Dickens said. "Sometimes, the difference between stability and crisis is a few hundred dollars at the wrong time. This pilot gives us another tool to step in early, help families stay in their homes and prevent a temporary setback from becoming an eviction." According to city officials, the two-year pilot is being led and administered by the Flagstone Initiative, a national nonprofit founded in 2022. City officials say Flagstone has reached more than 19,000 low-income households across seven states and has made more than 1,700 microloans. According to officials, the pilot will provide eligible households with a $500 no-fee, no-interest and no-penalty Rent Loan when they anticipate a financial hardship that could lead to a missed rent payment. Officials say households will contribute $20 per week for 25 weeks to repay the loan. There are no collateral, interest, fees, credit checks, credit reporting or collections tied to the loan, according to officials. According to city officials, Flagstone is working with several affordable housing providers, including PadSplit, Open Doors Atlanta, Golden Door, LDG, Gateway, BDP, TI Management and OaksATL to make the loans available to low-income renters. The city says it is also providing $50,000 in pilot funding. According to officials, other local and national donors are contributing additional resources, including $50,000 from Airbnb for loan costs and $150,000 each from the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta and the William Josef Foundation in loan capital. The program comes as Atlanta continues to face an eviction crisis, with recent research showing the city's eviction rate is three times the national average. Princeton University data shows about 31,000 of the five-county region's recent eviction filings occurred within Atlanta city limits. The research also shows stark demographic disparities, with 60% of minority households being impacted. Digital Content Producer

Vidle Housing and PadSplit partner to expand affordable housing options for healthcare travelers.

Vidle Housing and PadSplit partner to expand affordable housing options for healthcare travelers. Sep 14, 2026, 11:50 ET Partnership brings flexible, cost-conscious shared housing to healthcare professionals traveling for work DELRAY BEACH, Fla., Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Vidle Housing, a housing platform built to serve the unique needs of traveling healthcare professionals, today announced a new partnership with PadSplit, the country's largest coliving marketplace, to expand the range of affordable housing options available to healthcare travelers across the country. Through the partnership, PadSplit's shared housing options will be made available through the Vidle Housing platform, giving travel nurses, allied health professionals, and other healthcare travelers an additional way to find housing that fits their assignment, location, and budget. PadSplit offers a different approach to traditional furnished rentals. Members rent their own private, furnished bedroom within a shared home while sharing common spaces such as kitchens and depending on the property, bathrooms, and other living areas. This model can significantly reduce housing costs compared with renting an entire apartment or home, while providing travelers with the flexibility they need when temporarily relocating for work. "Healthcare travelers have different priorities when it comes to housing, and affordability is becoming increasingly important," said Randy Holloran, CEO of Vidle. "Some travelers want a private apartment or home, while others would gladly consider sharing a home if it allows them to significantly reduce their housing expenses. By partnering with PadSplit, we're adding another important option and giving travelers greater control over how and where they live while on assignment." The addition of PadSplit further expands Vidle Housing's growing range of housing choices designed specifically around the needs of the healthcare traveler community. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Vidle Housing is building a marketplace that provides travelers with multiple housing types, price points and stay options in one place. PadSplit's shared-housing model is particularly well suited for cost-conscious travelers. In addition to the private furnished bedroom, all utilities and Wi-Fi are included in a simple weekly payment, making it easier to budget and save. PadSplit residents are screened before moving into a home, and private bedrooms feature secure locks. "Travel healthcare professionals provide essential services in communities across the country, and they need housing options that provide flexibility and affordability while they're away from home," said Atticus LeBlanc, PadSplit's founder and CEO. "Our partnership with Vidle Housing introduces shared housing to more healthcare travelers and gives them another way to make their assignments financially rewarding while having a comfortable place to call home." For healthcare travelers, housing is often one of the largest expenses associated with taking an assignment. Shared housing provides an opportunity for travelers who are comfortable living with others to lower those costs and potentially retain more of their housing stipend or assignment earnings. The PadSplit partnership is part of Vidle Housing's broader effort to expand housing inventory and provide healthcare travelers with more choices - from private furnished apartments and homes to hotels, extended-stay accommodations, and now affordable shared housing. About Vidle Housing Vidle is a platform built for healthcare travelers, connecting travel nurses and allied healthcare professionals with jobs, housing, information, resources, and the travel healthcare community. Through Vidle.com, the Vidle app and Vidle Housing, Vidle is creating a more connected experience designed around the unique needs of healthcare professionals who travel for work.
