Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience
  • At least five (5) years working experience in logistics operations
  • Experienced with all aspects of logistics: dangerous goods/hazardous cargo, importing/exporting, customs clearance, and oversized cargo
  • Excellent analytical and judgment skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately, and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with various cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
  • Act as a Logistics Specialist for aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
  • Responsible for daily aircraft parts logistics to and from worldwide suppliers
  • Be a primary point of contact for cross-functional internal customers and logistics suppliers
  • Support multiple internal stakeholders to ensure successful integration and support of logistics efforts
  • Cross-train to support the warehouse team with shipping, receiving, kitting, and stocking
  • Ensure strong process management is in place and implement, benchmark, improve, and control operational performance against KPIs
  • Resolve client complaints, lead supplier assessments, and develop corrective and preventative actions
  • Manage daily logistics workflow and maintain appropriate levels of transport insurance policies
  • Create, implement, and update training aids, instructional guides, and standard operating procedures
  • Handle logistics quotation requests for internal customers
  • Build metrics on gained and lost business, make suggestions on rates and services, and resolve logistics issues quickly
  • Liaise with relevant team members in relation to aircraft parts shipping needs and implementing new logistics accounts
  • Responsible for logistics invoice approvals, overdues, and assisting in clearing discrepancies
  • Travel for business when required
