Requirements
  • A high school diploma, General Education Development credential, or enrollment in an educational program if under age 18 is required.
  • One to two years of related experience is required.
  • Proficient computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office software are required.
Responsibilities
  • Greet family members and visitors, answer general inquiries, assist or direct them to the appropriate party, perform clerical tasks, and assist with residents' needs as needed.
  • Operate office equipment such as fax machines, scanners, and copiers, and use computers for spreadsheets, word processing, database management, and other applications.
  • Answer telephones using the approved greeting, provide information to callers, take messages, and transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Greet people entering the establishment, determine the nature and purpose of their visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations or appropriate people according to their needs.
  • Mail newsletters, promotional materials, and other information or documents using a computer, mail, or facsimile machine to ensure timely receipt.
  • Organize and maintain maintenance work orders reported by residents and staff upon receipt.
  • Perform administrative support tasks, including typing, formatting, proofreading, recommending revisions to documents, and copying correspondence or other printed material.
  • Distribute incoming mail and other materials on the day received and prepare outgoing mail by the next scheduled pickup.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident, staff personnel, and employment information.
  • Schedule space or equipment for special programs, meetings, or events.
  • Respond to the Personal Emergency Response System when a resident activates an emergency button, assess the situation, and call 911 when necessary.
  • Attend and participate in appropriate meetings and training opportunities to remain informed on current information and skill development.
  • Follow Presbyterian Villages policies and procedures, safety policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
