The.Team buys UK creator agency OTG to bridge football and social media talent

The.Team, the sports agency formerly known as Wasserman, has acquired London-based Outreach Talent Group (OTG), which represents social media and digital creators across sport, fitness, beauty and lifestyle. Founded five years ago by Emilio and Amy Arciniega, OTG operates from London with a New York office. Emilio Arciniega will become The.Team's senior vice president of creators. The acquisition reflects football's shift towards reaching younger audiences through content creators rather than traditional broadcasters. Football creators now command sponsorship fees rivalling some professional players. The deal forms part of The.Team's expansion strategy. In May, the agency took a stake in Italian football-focused GG11 and acquired the football divisions of People in Sport, International Football Management and SportPlus. The.Team rebranded after founder Casey Wasserman sold the company following his appearance in US government Epstein files.

THE·TEAM acquires Outreach Talent Group in UK creators expansion.

THE·TEAM acquires Outreach Talent Group in UK creators expansion. October 6, 2026 * Global entertainment, sports, and media company THE·TEAM has acquired London-headquartered digital management firm Outreach Talent Group (OTG) to scale its international creator footprint. * OTG Co-Founder and CEO Emilio Arciniega joins THE·TEAM as Senior Vice President, Creators, reporting directly to Michael Calvin Jones, Executive Vice President, Creators. * The acquisition brings high-profile UK talent, including Laila Paul, Dr. Faye, Calum Harris, Clean with Bea, and Montel McKenzie, into THE·TEAM's roster. * The transaction represents the fourth major creator acquisition for THE·TEAM in 2026, coming after the agency purchased J1S, Long Haul, and golf representation firm Provisions. THE·TEAM has officially acquired Outreach Talent Group (OTG), a prominent London-based digital talent management company. Michael Calvin Jones, Executive Vice President, Creators at THE·TEAM, announced the transaction to accelerate the agency's European digital reach. As part of the deal, OTG Co-Founder and CEO Emilio Arciniega joins the agency as Senior Vice President, Creators, reporting directly to Jones. Founded in 2021 by Emilio and Amy Arciniega, OTG quickly built a notable presence in the UK digital scene and earned "bCreator Talent Agency of the Year" honors in 2025. The transaction integrates OTG's exclusive roster of digital stars into THE·TEAM's global network. Among the marquee names making the move are Laila Paul, Dr. Faye, Calum Harris, Clean with Bea, Montel McKenzie, and more. OTG's clients join THE·TEAM's growing creator division, which already manages major stars like gymnast Olivia Dunne, media personality MatPat, and golf creator Grant Horvat. The purchase represents THE·TEAM's fourth creator acquisition in 2026, building on its May buyouts of J1S, Long Haul, and golf agency Provisions. The agency has also broadened its entertainment footprint through signings like Hatebreed for representation across the UK, Asia, and Australia. The move reflects an intensifying battle across major agencies for European digital market share. CAA has mirrored that momentum by expanding its London ranks throughout 2026, strengthening its UK creators division through key hires including Elle Skinner from Free Focus and Georgia Katz. The creator economy has matured from individual creator sign-ups into full corporate mergers. Global agencies are no longer content with picking up creators one by one; instead, they are acquiring entire boutique agencies to instantly establish localized expertise. For THE·TEAM, integrating Emilio Arciniega as an executive rather than having him exit reflects a smart consolidation playbook: keep the trusted leadership in place while plugging their clients into a worldwide commercial machine. For British creators like Matty Lee and Holly Laing, this deal bridges the gap between regional UK campaigns and international commercial deals across North America and Asia. Will boutique agencies like OTG lose their hands-on feel once absorbed into giant agencies like THE·TEAM? Which UK creator on the incoming roster will benefit most from THE·TEAM's global corporate partnerships?
