Requirements
  • A valid Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) license is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide substance use counseling to clients in level 1 and level 2.1 substance use programs.
  • Document progress notes for all groups in the electronic health record.
  • Implement evidence-based modalities to assist clients in their recovery.
  • Complete treatment plans and other documentation according to agency standards.
  • Admit clients using the New Jersey Substance Abuse Monitoring System (NJSAMS).
  • Collect weekly urine drug screens (UDS).
  • Perform all work under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC).
