Requirements
  • OACETT rcsi or rcca designation, or PEO EIT or P.Eng. designation
  • 3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector on MTO or Municipal Highway / Road / Bridge construction projects
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft productivity software (Word, Excel)
Responsibilities
  • Working safely and observing / working in conformance with GHD’s Behaviour-Based Safety culture
  • Assisting the Contract Administrator in the coordination of field duties and tasks by Quality Assurance Inspectors, specialists, and subconsultant staff
  • Completing day-to-day inspections of Highway / Road / Bridge projects in accordance with client terms of reference and manuals. Notifying supervisor of non-conformances observed
  • Coordinating input from Quality Assurance Inspectors and the Contract Administrator to complete entries on payment certificates
  • Tracking, receiving, and processing material sampling and test results
  • Maintaining field office documents, including through the use of the Ministry of Transportation Web-Based Contract Management System when necessary
  • Preparing contract documentation including agendas, minutes, Instruction Notices, Change Orders, etc., for review and dissemination to client, contractor and third party representatives
  • Working nights, weekends, extended shifts
  • Working overtime hours as necessary. Work is seasonal in nature and will likely involve greater hours of work in summer than in winter months
  • Other duties as may be assigned
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Field Office Administrator on MTO assignments is considered an asset
  • Prior experience with MTO’s Web-Based Contract Management System is considered an asset
  • Prior experience in the use of Critical Path Scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera) is considered an asset
