Requirements
  • Relevant and significant experience in psychiatry or mental health is required.
  • Current OMEGA training is required.
  • Must be a member in good standing of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).
  • Must be available to work rotating day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends as needed.
  • Must have the ability to adapt, demonstrated stress management, sound clinical judgment, and professional rigor.
Responsibilities
  • Assess the overall mental and physical health of patients hospitalized in internal psychiatry.
  • Plan, provide, and evaluate required nursing care according to established treatment plans.
  • Respond safely and appropriately to crises or agitation using specialized skills.
  • Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and educators, to ensure optimal follow-up for patients.
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate clinical records.
