ProSidian Seeks a Industrial Hygiene Professional - Industrial Hygiene (Time and Materials | Exempt) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.  

This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category IH104 | Prof) to fulfil T&M - Time and Materials (T&M) requirements. 

The Industrial Hygiene Professional IH 104 as a  Professional Grade position.

Industrial Hygiene Professional - Industrial Hygiene Candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: 541690 - Environmental Consulting Services,  NAICS: 541690 - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services - Energy, and NAICS: 591690 - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services and

The purpose of the position is to provide field support for the Industrial Hygiene Program, ensuring Federal, State, Company, and Site requirements regarding exposure to potential physical and chemical hazards to facility personnel. Functions including but not limited to:

Performs occupational exposure assessments of conventional work exposures and conducts exposure monitoring strategies as assigned;

 Performs sampling for chemical vapor hazards ;

Assists in study, development, testing and analysis of processes, and procedures relating to chemical vapor monitoring.

Prepare technical reports; and

Communicate issues and results with employees and management.

Qualifications

The Industrial Hygiene Professional - Industrial Hygiene shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct.  The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

Will be required to pass testing for Radiological Worker II and maintain IH equipment qualifications.

May be required to drive government vehicles.            Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Environmental or Occupational Health and 3+ years experience providing industrial hygiene field support; or 7+ years experience providing industrial hygiene field support.         Candidate shall have working knowledge of IH standard concepts, practices, principles, and techniques. Candidate shall have operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint). The 40-hour workweek schedule will be determined by the assigned facility to accommodate the current demand of work evolutions and shift rotations. Candidate may be assigned to various shift schedules. Standard Facilities Access required and a security clearance may be required for this position

TRAVEL:  Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements.  Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, as allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.  LOCATION:  Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina
