Receptionist

Job Description

• Answer calls from multiple telephone lines, screening and directing calls to appropriate party and message taking for those who do not want to leave a voicemail
• Ensure professional and courteous approach with clients, visitors and employees
• Handle incoming/outgoing mail and courier packages 
• Greet visitors in professional manner and notify appropriate person of their arrival
• Update monthly calendar with onsite and offsite courses, meetings, and seminars
• Verify phone numbers and addresses of clients for field staff
• Verify voicemail numbers for field staff and HCSS (Home and Community Care Support Services)
• Liaise with building management for maintenance requests
• May sort, date stamp, pickup and deliver mail to employees

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 1 year of previous reception and switchboard experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills and good written skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment where multitasking and prioritizing is essential
