Requirements
  • A terminal degree (PhD or Doctor of Philosophy or Doctor of Business Administration) in Finance or a closely related field is strongly preferred.
  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field combined with substantial (5+ years) high-level, relevant industry experience will be considered.
  • Significant professional experience in finance roles directly related to potential course topics is highly valued.
  • Prior teaching experience at the graduate level is strongly preferred. A minimum of three years combined relevant teaching/professional experience is required.
  • Experience with online or hybrid teaching modalities is desirable.
Responsibilities
  • Teach graduate-level courses within the Finance discipline and potentially related quantitative or economic areas. Course topics may include corporate finance, investments, financial institutions, risk management, financial modeling, derivatives, or other advanced finance subjects.
  • Instruct courses primarily within Master’s degree and Graduate Certificate programs, focusing on advanced theories, practices, and applications suitable for experienced professionals and graduate students.
  • Engage students in rigorous academic discussions, case studies, research, and the practical application of advanced financial concepts.
  • Maintain course materials, provide timely feedback, and hold office hours as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Relevant professional certifications or licensures (e.g., Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Manager, Certified Financial Planner, Certified Public Accountant) are advantageous.
  • Experience with online or hybrid teaching modalities is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and support a diverse student body.
