  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or research and development in related fields.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
Responsibilities
  • Use in-house-developed and commercial additive manufacturing data preparation software, including Materialise Magics and Autodesk Netfabb, to create printing plans and printing files.
  • Develop part-printing processes using first principles, materials characterization results, metrology data, process data, and modeling and simulation results.

About the company

Area Printing is a high-volume 3D metal printing technology for industrial production. It builds metal parts layer by layer from powder using a specialized additive process to produce complex components quickly and with lower costs and higher quality than traditional methods. It’s designed for large-scale manufacturing in sectors like automotive, aerospace, and construction, enabling digital, on-demand production and reducing the number of conventional fabrication steps. The approach emphasizes green manufacturing and local, resilient supply chains, aiming to lower CO2 emissions and bring metal production closer to end users.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • America Makes selected Seurat in July 2026 for defense additive qualification funding.
  • Seurat’s website in August 2026 still markets high-volume serial production and contract manufacturing.
  • NVIDIA’s 2023 backing and $99 million round still validate Seurat’s technical ambition.

What critics are saying

  • Revelio shows headcount fell to 89 in March 2026, crushing commercialization capacity.
  • Only one 2026 job posting signals stalled scaling and thin operational execution.
  • If Area Printing misses automotive and defense qualification deadlines, Seurat becomes a science project.

What makes Seurat Technologies unique

  • Area Printing decouples speed and resolution, targeting serial metal production, not prototyping.
  • Seurat holds 130-plus patents, rooted in Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory research.
  • Seurat sells contract manufacturing, not just printers, tightening customer lock-in and process control.
