Responsibilities

Lead a global team responsible for data hall design for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Lead design engineers, technical program managers, and software developers to deliver design projects on time.
Work with cross-functional teams to establish standards that improve power and space utilization while preserving flexibility for different data center use cases.
Work closely with Infrastructure Delivery, Supply Chain, Physical Networking, Datacenter Operations, and software automation teams to optimize data center design and fit-out.
Own communications for datacenter design decisions, including executive-level and detailed project briefs and status updates.
Own and drive network design, structured cabling, fiber, passive devices, and connectors.
Monitor the project design delivery process and oversee the Datacenter Design team.
Develop standardized design tools, techniques, and processes to ensure clarity and consistency across projects.
Oversee the creation and refinement of design documentation.
Ensure designs align with standards and meet project goals for functionality and performance.
Drive design innovation to enhance sustainability and speed to market.
Measure, analyze, track, and report business, process, and quality metrics; analyze trends and identify improvement areas.
Lead teams executing test fits, development planning, and design milestones, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
Direct design change management processes to align with reference designs and Oracle standards.
Conduct design reviews and lead value engineering exercises to optimize cost and performance.
Monitor project milestones to ensure timely delivery of design deliverables.
Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction on each project.
Present design concepts and progress updates to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into project execution.
Use technical judgment to evaluate new projects and technologies, challenge proposals, and build consensus.
Conduct ongoing and post-project reviews, document lessons learned, and share insights across the program.
Collaborate with teams to ensure facilities meet design intent and quality expectations.
Provide regular cross-functional updates on relevant knowledge, market intelligence, news, and academic developments.
Define communication formats and channels that facilitate knowledge sharing across functions.
Foster and maintain positive relationships across Oracle groups and teams.
Set a culture of teamwork, high expectations, success, and customer-first focus by example.
Manage and coach a team of leaders to develop their skills and maximize their impact.
Coach and lead the team in creating user experiences and services that deliver remarkable products.

As Senior Director of Datacenter Design, you will lead a global team responsible for all data hall design for OCI. This role is responsible for leading the team consisting of design engineers, technical program managers, and software developers to ensure on-time delivery of design projects, working with cross-functional teams to establish standards that enable better power/space utilization while maintaining flexibility to adapt data centers to different use cases. You will work closely with the Infrastructure Delivery, Supply Chain, Physical Networking, Datacenter Operations, and software automation teams to further optimize the data center design and fit-out process. The position requires a high degree of energy, passion, outgoing personality, technical competence and integrity.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $169,800 to $355,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
